A New Beginning for this Mompreneur
Platform: LinkedIn
Account type: Personal
PROBLEM:
In Jan 2023, a newbie mom-to-be entrepreneur reached out to me for my personal branding services. She was starting out her B2B writing business, but was clueless about how to reach the target audience on LinkedIn. She had a company page and a blog in place, too, but her personal brand was all over the place.
OBJECTIVE:
She wanted to achieve two things:
- Reach her target audience in the sustainability niche
- Get clients for her writing services
MY APPROACH:
I spent a week researching the industry and competitors to better understand the niche. Since she soon wanted to leave for her maternity leave, I did the following things:
- Set up processes in place for the next three months, including
- Content Calendar with a theme dedicated to each month
- Nail down the scripts for networking and engagement on her behalf
- Additional tools, like Calendly, to enhance the call booking process
- A goal-tracking sheet to update progress regularly
- We decided to have intense strategy sessions before her maternity leave to have everything in place. I pre-scheduled all the content ideas that needed her approval, so that I could later work on them in the upcoming months.
- We decided to post starting 1 April, complemented by Day-to-day Community Management & Networking from her Personal Brand.
In just 10 days, her follower count grew from 998 to 1082+
These are the real statistics that I tracked for her account:
| Social Media Growth | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform | |||
| March | April | May | |
| Followers | 998 | 1234 | 1375 |
| Profile Views | 130 | 372 | 477 |
| Post Impressions | 2606 | 8211 | 6759 |
| Search Appearances | 31 | 101 | 132 |
By May, we started receiving 3+ queries each day on her personal account, which started messing with her new-mom schedule. So, we cumulatively decided to pause community management & networking services in Mid-May (because health >>> work)
Nevertheless, here are the results:
