Inbound+Outbound Funnel for Tech Staff Augmentation Founder
Platform: LinkedIn
Account type: Personal
PROBLEM:
In Dec 2024, a founder approached me. He ran a B2B business that helped US companies hire remote tech talent from Latin America. He wanted to get more leads via LinkedIn. But when we started, his profile was positioned as an employee, not an entrepreneur. He was focusing his efforts solely on his company branding.
OBJECTIVE:
- Show up as a founder who knew what he was doing
- Build awareness around nearshore hiring from LatAm
- Focus on inbound and outbound lead generation
MY APPROACH:
We started with positioning him right! Like a founder.
Before starting with content, I:
- Rewrote his profile from scratch
- Built his founder narrative around transparency + hiring quality
- Used his Featured section to point people to what he wanted: calls, case studies, lead forms
After this, we started weekly founder-led content covering:
- Why LatAm > traditional offshore
- Mistakes in outsourcing models
- His POV on building remote teams
- Light founder stories (burnout, tough calls, quiet growth moments)
I also simultaneously started working on his company branding, case study here.
I also started adding relevant connections that fit his ICP(Ideal client persona). He loved the focus:

Shortly, we started working on outbound channels, like cold emails and LinkedIn Outreach.
I also set up Expandi + Kondo for automated outreach & Freshworks for emails.
We got these stats for his LinkedIn Account in 6 Months:
| Starting Date | May | |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | 477 | 1502 |
| Profile Views | 205 | 721 |
| Post Impressions | 222 | 3409 |
| Search Appearances | 16 | 225 |
We also got an 8.1% response rate for LinkedIn Outreach in Q2:
| Q2 | May | |
|---|---|---|
| DM sent | 819 | 1502 |
| Positive replies | 66 | 721 |
| Reply rate | 8.1% | 3409 |
Despite building momentum on LinkedIn and setting up a fully working outbound pipeline, the lead-gen side stalled.
The reason was a lack of sincere follow-up from his end.
I realised it wasn’t a fit anymore. So we mutually ended the contract.
Nevertheless, it was a great learning experience.
